Specialist residential care

Our team provide 24/7 specialist residential and nursing care at The White House, and specialist residential care at Abalone House. We deliver medical consultations and clinical treatment alongside a wide range of therapies which are tailored to each residents’ own needs and interests.

We regularly review care programmes to ensure all residents are accessing effective treatments and therapy, while making positive steps towards managing their eating disorder.

Residents also have opportunities to enjoy individual and communal activities which support their recovery.

Meals are served in a supportive environment with our excellent chef catering to all dietary requirements. We also encourage residents to rediscover their independence by preparing their own meals in our bright and spacious kitchen areas.

The White House is a characterful Grade II listed building overlooking the local park. It has been fully rennovated to offer a range of comfortable rooms for residents, plus a leisure room with sofas, TV, library and games, and an arts and crafts room.

Abalone House sits in the heart of the town with easy access to parks, shops and amenities, providing a home-from-home for up to four residents.

Quote Mark
"Thank you so much for giving me this chance at recovery. I felt helpless a year ago, but now I am excited to start my new life back home. I am going home to my next stage of life, you gave me the strength to never give up but also believing that I am worth it and nothing can stop me to live."

Community Activities

We very much encourage residents to engage in community activities and support them in preparation for discharge, whether that means returning to university, work, gaining voluntary work experience, or help with managing the family home. Additional individualised occupational therapy is also provided.
