Bramacare Community is launching a series of free group activities to support adults working towards eating disorder recovery.
From September, Bramacare Community on Princes Street in Ipswich, will be hosting group activities including art and wellbeing, mindfulness and creative writing. The specialist team will also offer dietetic advice to support people in managing their eating disorder or disordered eating.
Dr Ramoo, Director at Bramacare, said: “It is vital for people to have access to local eating disorder support when they need it, which is why we’re pleased to begin offering our new series of free activities at Bramacare Community. We hope that our centre in the heart of Ipswich will become a hub for positive mental wellbeing, and we look forward to welcoming groups to experience our specialist support.”
Bramacare Community opened in January to offer a range of day care activities for local adults with eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa and bulimia. People attend the centre for therapy sessions, clinical care, group work, supported meals and cookery groups, but the service is now hosting its first series of activities for the wider community to access.
Group activities at Bramacare Community are free to attend but advanced booking is required. To find out more details, dates of upcoming groups and to book your free place, call 01473 212782 or email [email protected].
